“Sometimes when we’re in the darkest places, we find the brightest light”
Here he is. He is amazing, he is light, he is intoxicating, he is delicate, he is dreamy, he is ours. Exactly 2 days ago last year, surrounded by my sisters and brothers, I said goodbye to my dad. 66 years of age, wisdom and love ended with heartfelt hugs, lots of tears and some relief. The end to pain and suffering had come, and dad went to be with his maker.
Just 2 months later, new life would begin its growth for our family. And a year of struggles, stress, pain and suffering was surly over. Kala’i William Cua was born to my little sister (and assistant) and her family, just 6 weeks ago. To say that he has brought us out of our darkest place, is an understatement.
I’ll begin with Kala’i wrapped in the blanket that my good friend Megan at Knots, had made for us using a collection of dad’s old shirts.
