she walked into the room with the breeze of her step still fluttering her hair. even on her wedding day, she carried around an air of calmness. the day was warm when the buzz of the wedding day preparation took place. there was hair being curled, little ones running around; things lost and things found. as we made our way to the ceremony, her mood never once wavered.
kula botanical gardens greeted us with a top hat of clouds, shading the ceremony and providing spectacular light for the occasion. as she walked down the isle i suddenly understood her calmness. with each step that shantelle took toward gabe, she understood that it was just one step closer….to being home…where her heart is.
with her tiny little frame, this princess bride dress fit her to a tee.
malia cano and i devoured the details and styled as much as our creative minds could handle.
the girls all had their hair styled by the fabulous hayley and lehua of pretty cut-n-dry salon.
the boys were styled by ellie’s bridal while gabe got this tailored suit from banana republic.
…the new mr. and mrs.
shan, i know i told you a millions times that day, but i think you’re stunning!
many thanks to everyone who helped put together the reception arrangements, especially malia gomes, who took care of all the details, fine tuning and kept us on schedule. the lovely floral arrangements were done by valerie spalding.
the gorgeous cake was delish, made by jeff cabiles and fancied with wedding charms for the girls in the bridal party.
the night ended with nearly everyone on the dance floor as the dj, eric amby, kept the crowd moving.
and on a night full of love and kisses, here’s one last one.
gabe and shantelle,
